When did you start CrossFit?
Single mom, retired USAFR JAG, Texas lawyer, and amateur chef. Moved to Austin summer 2013. Enjoying the city. Will learn to tolerate the heat.
What is your athletic background?
Running (slow, 10 minute mile), Alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, mountain hiking.
How I eat:
Favorite nutrition quote: "Eat food, not too much, mostly plants." --Michael Pollan. I cook the majority of what I eat and use fresh ingredients rather than processed foods. I buy mostly organic foods and proteins that are humanely raised. My meals are about 75% vegetarian and tend to follow Mediterranean cuisines. I limit sweets to small portions, and only occasionally.
Why I Crossfit:
Physically: To become strong, flexible, and increase endurance. Mentally: It's the best stress relief on Earth!
